Dear colleagues! We’re excited to share wonderful news – our Senior IT Recruiter Yevheniia Bulhakova, who has dedicated over two years of her career to advancing recruitment at Softengi, has become our Head of IT Recruitment! Let’s take a closer look at her professional journey.
Yevheniia joined our team in July 2022 as Junior Recruiter, choosing Softengi as her first workplace to gain experience in recruitment. That same summer, she completed her studies at Beetroot Academy, specializing as an HR Generalist, and confirmed her commitment to recruitment. Her previous experience in content production equipped her with invaluable skills: the ability to quickly connect with people, establish effective communication, and think strategically.
First Steps and Support Along the Way
After joining Softengi, Yevheniia quickly immersed herself in recruitment processes. She recalls that her manager, Oleg Chevychalov, helped her make the first steps in the new role, always making time to break down complex questions and offering support in any situation.
By November 2022, Yevheniia was the sole recruiter on the team, managing the entire range of recruitment tasks, from sourcing candidates to scheduling interviews and coordinating with managers. Reflecting on that experience, Yevheniia says:
“It was a challenging yet immensely rewarding period that helped me gain confidence in my abilities.”
Team Development and Performance Growth
In February 2023, Yevheniia welcomed a new recruiter to the team, Viktoria Drozd, which became her first experience in management. Proud of the opportunity to share her knowledge, she successfully guided Viktoria in recruitment. By 2024, the team continued to expand: two more recruiters joined in August, followed by another in October. Thanks to Yevheniia’s efforts, the recruitment team grew from one employee to five, significantly increasing output: the number of closed vacancies rose from two to fifteen monthly, and each recruiter’s workload expanded from handling one position to six.
Yevheniia also optimized recruitment processes, enabling the team to handle requests faster, improve candidate communication, and conduct up to 8-10 interviews daily.
Approaching a New Career Height with Pride and Inspiration
Yevheniia uses an individual approach to hiring new candidates depending on each manager’s specific requirements. She creates a positive atmosphere, fostering collaboration during interviews and setting each participant up for a successful interaction. Now stepping confidently into her new role as Head of IT Recruitment, Yevheniia envisions her team implementing new hiring processes and achieving even more ambitious goals!
A Glimpse Into Yevheniia’s Life Outside Softengi
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Yevheniia has a wide range of interests. Music and sports hold a special place in her life. Playing the piano fosters discipline while singing brings a sense of comfort and freedom. Sports, on the other hand, give her a boost of adrenaline and energy. At home, her Abyssinian cat, Suna, is always waiting to keep Yevheniia on her toes, ensuring she stays active and in high spirits.
