Client: A large scientific research park.
Challenge: The client lacked a centralized digital database to store and manage facility information for its campus buildings.
Solution: An integrated cloud platform that combines Building Information Modeling (BIM), a data management system, and a generative AI framework.
Lack of Centralized Digital Infrastructure Hinders On-Site Coordination
Research parks and innovation hubs struggle to manage complex campus infrastructure and scientific facilities.
Overseeing large scientific areas requires coordination of building documentation, technical infrastructure, regulatory requirements, and environmental data.
Building information is scattered within departments, with no centralized digital repository for facility records. Architectural drawings and technical documentation are stored primarily in legacy formats, such as 2D DWG files, which make version control and secure information sharing difficult.

Centralized Building Data and Intelligent Facility Management
The cost and technical complexity of conventional CAD and BIM applications made them difficult to use for administrative personnel and facility managers without specialized training, limiting access to building data in the organization.
Monitoring compliance with evolving energy-efficiency, safety, and environmental regulations at multiple buildings also required considerable effort. Building management processes were disconnected from real-time IoT sensor data, preventing personnel from integrating energy consumption and environmental conditions into their day-to-day decisions.
Softengi implemented BIMXplore, an integrated cloud platform combining Building Information Modeling (BIM), the AGORA web-based data management system, and the Xplore generative AI framework to centralize campus documentation and simplify facility management.

BIMXplore analyzes real-time IoT telemetry from campus sensors and monitoring systems, including electricity meters, solar power installations, temperature and humidity sensors, CO₂ meters, and access control systems, linking digital building records with actual facility conditions.
Softengi implemented automated compliance auditing against applicable regulations and technical standards, conversational editing of non-geometric building properties with synchronized 2D and 3D visualization, and energy and CO₂ impact simulations with return-on-investment calculations.
Building a Smarter, More Sustainable Research Campus
Softengi’s solution simplifies campus management by connecting building data, real-time IoT monitoring, and AI-powered tools. It delivered the following business outcomes:
- Reduced facility management costs and manual workloads.
- Wider access to BIM data without specialized CAD software.
- Automated checks for compliance with energy, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Centralized, version-controlled building documentation.
- Improved energy monitoring and CO₂ impact assessment.
- Scalable management of additional campus buildings.
